Servco Automotive & Toyota are bringing the latest automobile technology to Hawaii. In August the Toyota group released the new 2009 Lexus HS 250h Hybrid into the world. It brings a new Haptic controller that acts like a mouse pad to navigate through its dashboard monitor. The new HS is made from 85% recycled materials making it the most eco-friendly vehicle out there and it’s backed with Toyota’s leading hybrid engine technology. Toyota has been developing their hybrid engine since the 1950’s, almost 50 years before the first hybrid vehicle was released by Toyota.
Servco is a family owned business that has been operating in Hawaii since 1919. Servco also offers home appliances and commercial insurance. In 1958, Servco first acquired Toyota and became the only independent distributor of Toyota in Hawaii and they recently acquired the Chevrolet and Subaru franchise.
Toyota has come up with new innovations in safety with features that minimize eye movement to help maintain focus on the road. With new LED headlamps that provide better visibility, video cameras on the front and back, side sensors and a pre-collision sensor that automatically slows down for you to reduce impact speeds. There is also a new enhanced voice-command system, a 6th generation navigation system that provides multiple route assistance and a built-in compass to help navigate through side streets more accurately. The Lane-Keep Assist, a new technology using cameras that aids drivers to stay in the lines on the road. Toyota is making driving safer.
Upcoming is the new Lexus LFA, a whole new standard for sport-performance vehicles with a 4.8L V20 engine that will generate 552 horsepower for rear-wheeled drive performance. Valued only at $375,000. Servco is receiving two of these Super Cars. There will be only 500 LFA’s made worldwide, each individually assembled by hand. Production for this super car began in December 2010.
