The Hawaii National Guard will be given new technology that will enhance the access to complex geomapping data to support the mission of the Hawaii National Guard, HING.  This new technology was made available by the Telos Corporation which has provided more than 30 years of IT solutions and services to the federal government.  The Telos Corporation will bring to the states a multi-touch, multi-user, computing application to allow the means to access complex geomapping data and to share that information with collaborating agencies. Col. Joe Garrnett stated that, “The Telos solution is an unclassified, secure application that will allow the Hawaii Air National Guard to leverage its Eagle Vision 5 data, which includes large, detailed geomapping data views.”

According to the HING website, http://hawaii.gov/dod/hing, “in performing its state mission, the HING provides organized, trained units to protect Hawaii's citizens and property, preserve peace, and ensure public safety in response to natural or human-caused disasters”  Through the use of this technology Jeff Schneider, director of the Advanced Technologies Group for Telos Secure Networks believes, “The Telos SE7EN Application Development Framework allows rapid development of this secure application to assist the Guard as it optimizes its ability to collaborate and share data to enhance mission effectiveness.”
